Helping this ministry brings a lot of healing to me. When I was a teenager I needed a ministry like basketball church. By volunteering with this amazing ministry I'm able to extend the love I needed at their age. That to me is extremely rewarding.

“I have served the basketball ministry since its inception 5 years ago. I have done whatever the Lord has called me to do. I have been in the kitchen preparing meals and serving them, I have set up the tables and chairs, and picked up trash. Currently my main job is refereeing, and just serving. Why do I do this? Because of the love of God in my life and the love of these men/women that I have. One of the most rewarding things I have done is when several of the basketball players needed their senior pics taken. I was honored to be able to take the pics for them. This is my calling, how could I do less.”

“I serve at BBC because it is a pleasure and an honor to be used by God. I’ve had seasons when I’ve felt overwhelmed by life and forgotten by God. In those seasons, God used people, His children, to speak life and share His love with me! I felt seen, I felt loved, I felt hopeful…that’s why I serve at BBC. So I can share the love and light of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Serving at BBC has shown me that we just need to say “yes” to God, yes to the first step, and trust that God will take care of the rest, in His perfect time, in His perfect way. It’s an example of how I should live my life!”

Registration
Sign players in and greet them.

Scorekeeper
Run the scoreboard. Don’t worry- we’ll train you!

Snack Cart
Sell Gatorade and give away snacks.

Referee
Requires basic knowledge of basketball.

Kitchen Crew
Prepare the meal during the games, and clean up afterwards.

Wash Jerseys
Pick up at ReyNaz and drop off by Friday.
